Our three pillars of Sustainability

FP-Pigments has an unwavering commitment to sustaining and preserving the environment. Sustainability sets the focus on the future and means that the item or action must generate Environmental, Social and Economic benefits, without using too many natural resources or causing pollution. These are our three pillars of Sustainability.

Environmental Benefits

The Carbon Footprint for material produced by our plant was assessed according to LCA ISO 14060/44, showing a reduction in CO2 of up to 73% compared to TiO2. This can lead to significant CO2 savings.

Social Benefits

FP-Pigments Oy (Group) has been granted a Bronze Recognition Level based on EcoVadis CSR rating (Corporate Social Responsibility -rating). Ecovadis is the major globally accredited measurement of sustainability, in terms of Environmental and Social performance. EcoVadis operates the 1st collaborative platform allowing companies to assess the environmental and social performance of their suppliers on a global basis. EcoVadis combines technology and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expertise to deliver simple and reliable supplier scorecards, covering 150 purchasing categories and 21 CSR criteria.

Economic Benefits

TiO2 prices fluctuate over time, sometimes by large amounts. FP-Opacity Pigments™ are always significantly lower cost and also fluctuate by only a fraction of the TiO2 price when it changes. Partial replacement of TiO2 with FP-Opacity Pigments™ therefore makes the economic performance of your business more sustainable, in addition to lowering the environmental impact.
