TiO2 Cost Savings: Example in Polyolefin Masterbatch
There are various ways of taking advantage of FP-Pigments’ technology in masterbatch systems. The low concentration of TiO2 in the end products enables FP-Opacity Pigments™ to improve the spacing of TiO2 in these systems, often resulting in an improved optical performance. A simple 10% replacement of TiO2 in a typical 60% Masterbatch is a quick route to savings. However, using a 60% FP only masterbatch can lead to more flexibility across several end use applications allowing higher TiO2 replacements and better cost saving, e.g. higher replacement levels in injection moulded products.
TiO2 Cost Savings: Example in Rigid PVC Profiles
FP-Pigments have a long established business in rigid PVC profiles and mouldings and continue to develop additional products to complement the highly regarded FP-510 Opacity Pigment™. FP-Opacity Pigments allow the PVC formulator to optimise and reduce their TiO2 use by between 10 and 30% depending on final application. Significant cost savings can be achieved using either FP-510 Opacity Pigment™ or our new performance product FP-440 Opacity Pigment™.
