The potential effect of this could be to raise costs of imported Chinese TiO₂ to a level more in line with EU produced pigment. This will likely result in unprecedented changes to the costs and availability of TiO₂ in the European market.
For more than ten years, FP-Pigments has supplied the coatings, plastics and paper & board markets with its unique Opacity Pigments™, enabling improvements in TiO₂ efficiency that help to mitigate costs. The optimum replacement level both maintains product performance and provides significant reductions in overall raw material costs and improvements in sustainability.
If you are at all concerned about the potential for significant cost increases to which you might be exposed then you need FP-Opacity Pigments™.
Optimisation of selected formulations can lead to significant TiO₂ replacement levels of between 10 and 20%. In almost all formulations FP-Opacity Pigments™, which already contain TiO₂, can be used to replace up to 10% of the TiO₂ (excluding high gloss applications).
